Service Overview

The plain-English version.

What it is

Domestic and commercial plumbing across water supply, waste, heating pipework, cylinders, bathrooms and appliance connections. Everything a household or commercial property routinely needs from a plumber.

Who it's for

Homeowners, landlords, letting agents and commercial premises in W3, W5 and the wider West London area. If you own it, rent it out or run a business from it, we cover the plumbing side.

When you need it

Whenever the water isn't behaving — low pressure, slow drains, a fitting that weeps, a cylinder that's underperforming, or a planned upgrade like a new bathroom or unvented cylinder.

Why use a professional

Water damage is the single most expensive thing that goes wrong in a home. A Gas Safe registered plumber gets the fix right first time, keeps the job compliant, and protects you from the insurance headache that comes with amateur work.

Left Too Long?

Small problem now.
Big bill later.

The cheapest time to deal with a plumbing or heating fault is almost always now. Water damage, gas issues and system stress compound quickly — the invoice grows with them.

If you leave it

  • A slow leak behind a wall rots joists and studs long before you see a stain on the ceiling.
  • Low water pressure often points to a partially failed valve — leave it and the whole run needs re-piping.
  • An unserviced unvented cylinder can lose its air gap and start dumping hot water through the tundish.
  • Ignored joint weeps quietly stain and warp kitchen units — cabinets end up costing more than the fix would have.

Common DIY mistakes

  • Over-tightening compression fittings and cracking the olive.
  • Using PTFE tape on rubber-washered joints, which just squeezes out.
  • Isolating the wrong stopcock and flooding a neighbour's ceiling.
  • Swapping a like-for-like tap on hot-water systems without checking pressure ratings.

The Detail

Materials, methods, and where the money goes.

Plumbing is a broad trade — the label covers everything from a 20-minute washer swap to a two-week cylinder and heating overhaul. Here's what we actually do day-to-day.

Water supply, pressure and stopcocks

Mains inlet works, stopcock replacement, isolating valves on individual runs, pressure reducing valves and expansion vessels on unvented systems. West London stock — particularly Victorian and Edwardian conversions — often has original lead or galvanised sections we can identify and swap to copper or plastic barrier pipe.

Waste, traps and drainage inside the property

Sink, bath, shower and washing-machine wastes, bottle and P-traps, appliance stand-pipes, macerator support and internal soil branches. We coordinate with the drains team if the fault is below the trap — see our blocked drains page for external work.

Cylinders, tanks and hot water

Unvented cylinder installations by G3 qualified plumbers, vented (gravity) cylinder upgrades, expansion vessel checks, immersion swaps, temperature and pressure relief valve replacements. Manufacturer-approved parts, correct labelling and safe discharge routing.

Domestic vs commercial

For commercial premises — cafés, salons, offices and small units — we work around your trading hours where possible and quote around minimising downtime. Isolation, temporary supply, and out-of-hours scheduling are all part of a normal commercial quote.

Materials we work with

Copper (soldered and press-fit where appropriate), MLCP for concealed runs, WRAS-approved brass fittings, quality-grade PTFE and jointing compounds for compression joints, and manufacturer-specified parts on Vaillant, Worcester, Ideal and other mainstream boilers.

Frequently Asked

The questions we hear on the phone.

Nothing here is generic — these are answers we give West London customers every week.

Ask us directly
How much does a plumber charge in West London?

For emergency call-outs it's £80 for the first hour (call-out inclusive), then £120/hr thereafter. Planned work — bathrooms, cylinders, boiler swaps, kitchens — is fixed-price after a free on-site quote.

Do you charge for quotes?

No. A quote is free, provided after an on-site visit, and you'll typically have it in writing within 2–3 working days.

Are your plumbers Gas Safe registered?

Yes. All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers. One of the team is also a Vaillant approved installer, and we hold G3 qualifications for unvented cylinders.

Do you cover my area?

Our yard is in Acton W3 8HL. Core coverage is Acton, Ealing, West Ealing, Ealing Broadway, Ealing Common and surrounding W-postcodes. We travel further for larger projects.

How quickly can you attend an emergency?

24/7 line, answered by us. Emergency response is typically within 90 minutes in our core coverage area, subject to availability.

What guarantees do you offer?

We provide a 2-year manufacturer's guarantee on new boiler installations. Certain Vaillant parts (e.g. the magnetic filter) carry an extended warranty when installed by our Vaillant approved installer.

Do you take card payments?

Payment is by bank transfer. For larger jobs we take a deposit up front, with the balance on completion; construction projects run on staged instalments.

Can you do commercial plumbing?

Yes. We work with commercial premises across West London and can schedule around trading hours to minimise disruption.
